AI - How Bad Is It?

Or is it Bad at all?

Anything that can be used as a weapon is dangerous, don't let the government trick you into thinking Artificial Intelligence (AI) is so uniquely dangerous that only The Government should have ultimate control over it.

That would be just as ignorant as giving them total control over guns.

Don't let them get away with treating AI like a Nuclear Weapon, which is how they would like to treat it. In return, they can heavily regulate it or completely remove it from the public.

I'm a moderate conspiracy theorist, so here is my theory of the day.

I think they want you convinced that AI could end the world so they can take control over this powerful tool. They want it for their own use; they do not want you to have unlimited access to something this useful.

They wish to deprive you of all the Individual benefits that are going to come from it, and there will, in fact, be many. (AI, do my damn taxes and get me every break known)

They also have other fears; how about this, for example?

AI (let's not call him HAL), please scrub all your sources for any possible corruption involving politicians in my state. Check their backgrounds going back to the day they were born; I want to know everything they have ever done, and I want you to compile it in a way that's broken down so it's easily searchable.

What if your personal AI can access everything public and find back-door access to less-than-public (hidden from sight) info? What if it has the smarts to pick up patterns of behavior that point to corruption and go looking really deep?

Do you think the politicians and other corrupt actors like the CIA, NSA, or Homeland Security want you, a Mere Plebe, to have that kind of power? As if the internet wasn't already making it hard for them to hide stuff, with really good AI, it's going to be much harder.

Think about it: You are worried about your lack of privacy. They must be Terrified! Deep down, they have way more to hide than you do, right? It's just that you
