The political inferno ignited by November’s “Trump Miracle” has set more hair on fire across the country than Smokey the Bear has seen in 80+ years of “sniffin’ the air”.
As a Big Picture fan, it's easy to see the problem vexing us today. Adults who behave, think, and talk like children are the cornerstone of every problem in our society; with no exceptions. Consider the politician who "goes along to get along”. The government is purposely staffed with these types and every behavior mentioned is a child-based coping mechanism for interfacing with the world. Our government and much of society are housed with adults who behave, think, and talk like children.
Similar but different are the pols and “ordinary people” who race to the nearest camera and microphone or cellphone, histrionics ablaze, spitting clichés, half-truths, outright lies, and ad homonyms at the opposition party, policy, or person for the mere mention of anything “Trump”; since January 20th, these Kraken have been working overtime. Not a newscast, podcast, chat show, or social media outlet isn’t overflowing with spittle and screeds from Liberals suffering Trump Derangement Syndrome. Truth, facts, or context are irrelevant and immaterial; venting, adrenalin and sympathetic face time is the coin of the realm. Their actions/reactions are comfortably predictable.
Imagine if Pavlov was alive today…
As you consider the political landscape today, do you see real adults or do you see children of adult age, behaving, thinking, and talking like children? From the 55-year-old Senator pounding the podium in faux ‘rage’ to the government-loving man-child, who works for Big Brother for the same reason a child tries to make friends with the school bully, real adults are hard to find these days.
“Ordinary Americans” not of Anointed Officialdumb have their own issues. Take the man playing video games, eating junk, smoking dope, and sleeping in...and he’s 48!
Too many government types are trapped in a media/government-induced form of arrested development. That's a big problem for our entire society. Look at all the child behavior going on out there right now: herd-following politicians who react instead of think, from weak child-minded adults who repeat the lies of known liars, we're drowning in a tsunami of adult children. A real adult knows government and media are the historical bullies. The adult child falls in love with the schoolyard bully because it's "safer" and wants to latch hard on the tits of corrupt authority because it's easier than resisting. Look out today and tell me what you see.
It’s astonishing the breakdowns and breakage that seem to have been triggered by two weeks of “the Donald.” Leaving aside the rightness or wrongness of all this opinion and histrionic hurly-burly, the overall pathology is fascinating. Why is ‘Becky from Vassar’ not only having this meltdown but forensically documenting it in full living color online for the whole world?
“My emotions are your fault, fix it!” is not much of an axis mundi for one’s character.

They do not truly fear Trump himself; they fear what his victory will reveal and inspire others to achieve.
That has them in utter panic.
