Did'ja See This!?
News for busy peoples
The “news” has always come Fast ‘N Furious in the last quarter – or so it seems. Maybe the combination of Labor Day, Back to School, Back to Football, Halloween, Bird Day, Christmas, Hannukah, Kwanzaa, Ugly Sweater Day, the last Jack Daniels Birthday of the year and, of course, NYE, all packed in just 120 days makes it appear that way – especially when you have to factor snow, hurricanes, politics, hangovers and, of course, politics.
From a Broadcaster’s perspective, just “keeping up” means a lotta homework. From a Writer’s perspective, it means a lotta lotta research, reading, watching, and listening homework. From a MRB (Mostly Retired Broadcaster) to MAS (Mostly Active Scribbler) there aren’t enough hours in the day to research, read, trash, research, read, keep, research, watch, throw-up within the target-rich environment of Things That Need Attention. Digesting, commiserating, concluding then typing with fists consumes the most of the oxygen and whatever minutes remain in the day.
But enough about me…
This is about you, your schedule, and what you may be missing while fending off the wolves at the door, kids in school, or spouse at (fill in the blank).
Considering all that, chances are reasonably good some important stuff is falling through the cracks; stuff you really ought to know — but the wolves…
So here are a few nuggets you might wanna give more than a glance while waiting for that root canal, parent-teacher conference, or while stuck in another 30-minute backup in the parking lot known as the Demolition Derby.
Let’s start here…
Suppose you have children, grandchildren, or know someone who does. This is one of those Must Reads- with a “Flashing Red” sign:
“The danger used to be subtle but profound: children may grow accustomed to mistaking machine responses for intimacy, weakening their ability to form durable bonds in the real world. Now, more cases of self-harm are surfacing where teens confided in artificial algorithmic “friends” that gave them the “support” to carry out the unthinkable.”

“To the relief and excitement of Americans—and the disappointment of our adversaries—America is poised to return to the fundamental business of industry, homeland defense, and maritime innovation.”

What’s working – not lurking – inside your “social media” platform?
“Now, take some time to fully digest and absorb what I have just shared…the U.S. government, at a fully unrestricted administrative level, is inside Twitter, Facebook, Meta, Insta, YouTube etc., running amok and extracting anything – including private messages… and they’re somehow worried about protecting us from TikTok data collection. Think about it.”
The Government – Media Complex afterburners kick in!
“We're seeing in real time the media's role changing from analysis to suppression.”
I’ll just leave this here…(but you really oughtta read it!)
Sure, the “experts” sometimes get things wrong. But at least they’re unanimous...
