Imagine being mad that government corruption is being exposed. Imagine being mad that it’s being uncovered that your tax dollars have been wasted on everything except helping Americans. Image rabidly supporting politicians who oppose exposing all this corruption. Yet here we are with the Democrats and their leftwing adrenalin addicts exposing themselves Full Monty for all to see. No imagination required.

The Creation of DOGE

In the Beginning….

“Democrats basically spent 10 years building the biggest rake you’ve ever seen, and then stomped on it. It starts in 2014 when Obama creates something called the U.S. Digital Service that is designed to hire people from Silicon Valley and exempt them from many of the federal rules. And then, through the 1st Trump administration, they convinced Trump that these were civil servants who should be left alone to be independent, and they used that status to completely undermine him, doing completely ridiculous things; leftism activism from within the executive offices of the President. Biden comes in, and he dispenses with the pretense of non-partisanship, blatantly making them subject to the power of a political appointee. So he basically loads a gun, and they hand it to Elon Musk. …This is definitely one of the greatest self-owns of all time."

In the first Trump administration, all without his knowledge, this agency had hired transgender activists, multiple people from porn websites, and a “kink-aware professional." They'd go to DEI conferences and send an entire delegation of lesbians to represent them. They even hired somebody from a gender studies department who lectured the President's staff on white cis privilege and toxic masculinity.

Trump re-entered office and simply re-named this existing agency to “DOGE”, and then put Musk in charge of it. Once again, as is frequently the case in U.S. history, Democrats expanded the power of the executive branch only to claim “tyranny” when said power was used by their opponent. It truly is a thing of beauty. They're getting their comeuppance by the very agency THEY created!

But…but…but what about these law suits!? The left-wing, Obama-Biden appointed judges? The Holds, Delays, Cease and Desists blocking the promises promised by Trump and demanded by the majority who elected him? Where are the Republicans!? Arrgghh!

Here’s a dose of enlightenment and encouragement from lawyer/author/Townhall contributor Kurt Schlichter writing on X.

“OK, stop panicking about all the stupid legal decisions from leftist judges that the left is getting from judge shopping in leftist jurisdictions.

Stop. Panicking.

First, no one should be surprised by any of this. The administration certainly isn’t. We always knew exactly what they would do. Do not take the fact they are not screaming and yelling. They are not rolling over. There’s plenty going on behind the scenes as administration lawyers prepare their papers for the legal fight to come.

Second, since we have to have this fight, this is the time and the battleground to have it. Why? We want it settled right at the beginning of the administration so that we don’t have to deal with this down the road. And we want to fight on these orders because 1) they are manifestly the result of bad faith judge shopping and the opinions themselves are both procedural and 2) they are substantively ridiculous. They are legal jokes. Don’t listen to the dummy lawyers on Twitter…Everyone telling you these things are reasoned, valid legal decisions is either a legal illiterate or thinks you are stupid.

Third, the way this fight is happening is to our advantage. “Wait”, you ask, “we’re getting decision after decision against us! How can that be good”? Because they are leaving the Supreme Court no choice. People want Trump to sound off about this, but he doesn’t need to. What’s left unstated is the fact that he can just not obey these manifestly improper orders. They say it’s a constitutional crisis now, but that becomes a real one when they push Trump too far. He’s not going to submit forever to micromanagement of the executive branch by activist District Court judges in blue cities across America. And Chief Justice Roberts knows it. CJ Roberts and a majority of the court know these are ridiculous legally, and the last thing they want to do is stake the credibility of the Court – which famously has no divisions – on this kind of nonsense. They are not going to jump on the grenade that is these decisions. There might someday be a fight with a president about something where he is legally in the wrong, but this is not that time. This is not the hill the Supreme Court will die on. Wisely, Trump’s not adding fuel to the fire by threatening to do what it’s very clear he can do, which is disobey. This provides SCOTUS the cover it needs to deal with these upstart district courts without looking like Trump strong-armed it. So relax and let the process go forward. We’re going to win on all these injunctions, and I expect fairly quickly.”

So there.

One thing: It’s not in my DNA to relax. I even fish fast. Also, I have this Substack thing and the belief I – all of us, actually – have an obligation to spread the (accurate) word about what’s happening. You already know the MSM won’t report it. If not an “obligation”, it’s at least a damn good idea. Give it a try.
