The MSM’s introspection
This morning, FOX News’ Dana Perino cozied up with her WSJ soulmate, Annie Linske—the first big-league scribbler to clock ex-Prez “Ice Cream” Joe Biden’s mental wobble. Perino reminisced about how the Legacy Media’s pitchfork brigade torched Linske and FOX for daring to whisper what everyone saw: Biden’s grip on reality was looser than a melted cone. Cue the violins—several minutes of “We were so brave, so right” chest-thumping ensued. Then, Perino lobbed a gem: What was the vibe at the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner, that annual MSM love-in?
The scene: Axios’ Alex Thompson—not Linske—snagged The Aldo Beckman Award for “covering” the cover-up of Biden’s decline. He offered this tepid mea culpa: “We—myself included—missed a lot of this story. Some trust us less because of it. We bear some responsibility for faith in media tanking.” Missed? Missed? Only if you’re willfully blind, deaf, and probably bribed. Helen Keller could’ve scooped this with a braille typewriter.
Perino pressed Linske: What was the room like when Thompson said that? Linske pirouetted—“Yay WSJ, we nailed it!”—and dodged the real answer like a pro. Then came the money shot: “Legacy Media’s credibility is in the gutter after propping up a deflating President. Now that it’s out there, are your reporter pals soul-searching? Will they rethink how they’ve covered Trump?” Linske tap-danced harder than Astaire, mumbling nothings. Yes would’ve been a lie; No would’ve gotten her blacklisted from the cool kids’ table.
Dana hasn’t rung me up (yet), but here’s the scoop: Is Legacy Media culpable? Introspective? Ashamed of their bias-soaked clown show? One word: Hell no. My AP Award-winning journalist wife says back in the day—think Syracuse J-school glory—news had a code: Who, What, When, Where, no BS. Opinions stayed on the Editorial page where they belonged. Now? That line’s a myth, bled out decades ago. Why? Ask a grad student—I’m not your thesis advisor.
Chuck Todd, Jim Acosta, Joy Reid—repentant? That’s comedy gold. Their “moderated” takes? Just audition tapes for relevance. Post-Trump’s landslide “mandate,” they’re not navel-gazing; they’re doubling down. “60 Minutes” fiascos and Paramount merger buzz hint at chaos, but flip on CNN, NPR, MSNBC—same smug drivel, zero contrition. Kristen ‘Flea Flickers’ Welker’s “Meet the Press” is still a liberal steamroller—watch her “yeah, uh-huh, OK” speed-ups as Rubio or Homan drop facts she can’t spin. Tim Russert’s ghost is blushing.
ABC’s George Stephanopoulos? Same old Clinton lapdog, still stinging from that $15M Trump defamation payout. Soul-searching? Only for better ratings. The MSM’s “new direction” isn’t principles—it’s Lawfare, Courtfare, Judgefare. Trump’s their white whale, and they’ll harpoon him with gavels, not facts.
Sen. Rand Paul nailed it: they’re not going away. One minute, they’re screeching “no one’s above the law”; now they’re clutching pearls over judges busted for shielding illegals—above the law. Pick your poison: Reflection, Deflection, Projection. The liberal press isn’t rethinking a damn thing—they’re just mad they can’t book a table without a reservation anymore.

I don't follow the MSM. I don't even watch the local San Francisco TV News (I call it the 'Gay Bay News'). Many of the announcers on the local TV stations are gay. Tight pants are everywhere. It's kinda funny in a way. The Gay Bay Weather Gay.
As to the government owning your kids, one more reason young adults aren't having children.
Thanks for watching that drivel so I don't have to. I'm not surprised that they haven't changed. Their TDS viewers don't care that they lie, they only care that Today, the spin makes them feel better.
I'm convinced that many of the viewers are watching for no other reason that to hear something that makes them less anxious, in the moment. (Long term it creates all kinds of stress, but that's another story)
What's the old saying, "You never go broke telling someone what they want to hear"? Those left in the audience don't care to be informed, not really, what they want is for someone to tell them they are right and that everything will be all right and that the "right" is evil.
You are on the right side of history, the right wingers are the devil, so be afraid, But never fear, the resistance is still active, so don't worry too much. If you can spin every single story so that this is the message, then you can write for the MSM because that's the formula. Create anxiety, then relieve anxiety and tell the viewers they are all that's good and beautiful in the world, rinse and repeat.
