Washington’s “response” to Helene's carnage would be a just cause for a public uprising if it received a shred of media coverage lathered on Katrina, 2005. But back then, Katrina blew through New Orleans and adjacent real estate during the G.W. Bush presidency, so the MSM took advantage of the disaster to bash the Republican daily.
While Federal, State, and City government officials did nothing to vindicate themselves then, FEMA got the lion’s share of the blame. Director Michael Brown got the boot and Congress “reorganized” FEMA, tossing in more money - as usual. Now 19 years later, parts of New Orleans have still not recovered and won’t; they’re just gone.
Enter Helene, touted to be the worst since Katrina in death and damage. Eight days and counting, hundreds of thousands of Florida, Georgia, North, and South Carolina residents – now victims – are still waiting for the MSM to turn its collective attention to the Biden-Harris administration's criminal lack of coordinated response. The recent admission from HHS Director Mayorkas: “FEMA does not have the funds to make it through the season.” is scant help to victims still waiting for any form of aid, while Mayorkas is still employed.
So where did all the money go?
“What FEMA being broke today means not just that we have pissed away the money that we could have allocated for it to non-U.S. citizens — it’s far more insulting than that. It means that in a day and age where we can theoretically print endless fiat dollars and have an ‘infinite amount of cash’—an idea that I think is completely batshit insane, but our Fed governors don’t—that we still have not stocked the coffers of our domestic agencies with the bare minimum necessary for them to help the American people when they need to.
In other words, if the money is all fake, and we can conjure up as much of it as we want without any consequences, as both political parties would have you believe over the last several decades, why should FEMA ever be asking for more money to help hurricane victims?” (QTR)
A Criminal Lack of Response
The misapplication of funds, unnecessary pork, and other financial failures by Washington have long been accepted as “unexpected”. Now, witnessing the Federal government engaged in outright criminal activity has become easier – and more accurate - since the Biden Administration deployed its DOJ ‘Lawfare’, understood by anyone following Donald Trump.
Events surrounding the Biden Administration’s special non- and refused response to Helene victims is a special brand of government cruelty waged against American citizens who live in politically inconvenient areas known as “Red States”. “Failure” to provide aid is not synonymous with “refusal”. Using government bureaucracy and red tape to purposefully hamper good-will rescue efforts by private citizens is a criminal act against humanity. And that is exactly what’s being done – behind the pearl-clutching headlines avoiding the damning details.

You would think an agency short of funds in the face of a natural disaster affecting millions would welcome helping hands from any source. Maybe “prioritized business partners” whose “aid” is selectively accepted for distribution– but not volunteers. Take a look at how good neighbor and private citizen efforts were greeted by our Federal government.
But wait. There's more and worse.
You know how rumors can screw things up. So FEMA and the Red Cross set up a debunking site to handle them. See how well they’re doing here.
Weaponizing Hurricanes
Fellow Substacker T.L.Davis writes;
“The nation is witnessing an attack on the people of North Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, and Florida, but no more vividly than in the devastated towns of North Carolina. This is an attack by the federal government, DHS especially, who control the budget of FEMA. FEMA treats illegal aliens as celebrities, lavishing them with gifts and preferential treatment while it turns its back on the very people who have filled their coffers.”
It’s hard to make a contrary argument.

Thanks for reading this far.

Brian, I read the link from the private citizen who responds to disasters with aid. His account of how FEMA stopped, well, tried to stop, his private aid group in the Florida Keys after a hurricane. It's all about MONEY! FEMA has "Preferred Vendors" for disaster relief. These "Preferred Vendors" get lots of money from FEMA and the "Preferred Vendors" kickback money to the FEMA bureaucrats.
Does it all make sense to you now?
And let's not forget, although it is never reported on, all those people in Hawaii who lost everything too. This is insane. Out of money? OMG I heard an interview this morning on a local radio station with a lady who lived in the appalachian area. She filled out the form for the generous $750 check and was denied. She said everyone she knows who has applied has been denied. Just horrible.
