I suspect I’m one of the few people on earth who watched the entire proceedings yesterday to impeach Secretary Mayorkas.
It was a fascinating, unique piece of American History as well as a History lesson.
When the political part was over Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) got up to give colloquy to his fellow Republicans (all the democrats had skipped out). It is well worth your time to give Lee’s comments your attention. Skip through it if you have to. Here’s the link:

Lee (52) is considered the most Conservative member of Congress, one of the smartest, and a likely future member of the Supreme Court.
His remarks were without notes, clearly very thoughtful and measured. He went on for the better part of 2 hours.
What he said will someday appear in history books and courses at law schools.
His remarks were significant, from the heart, and a bit unsettling: the state of the Union is not good.
CSPAN has the video of the whole day, broken down in timed increments.
At very significant portions, such as Lee’s remarks, they even supply a transcript.
On CSPAN, after a program, viewers can call in and make comments to a moderator. They call in on the line/number associated with the political party (R, D, I) they belong to. Democrat callers were pissed off and fed up with the sleazy practices of their party.
Not something that was covered anywhere.

BW: In Case You Missed It... took me a few minutes to figure out the abbreviation. Mike Lee is a good senator. I'll check out the video.
It's rude, IMO, for the senators not to show up for work.
