I don't think anything will change the minds of the vast majority of voters, who made up their minds years ago, whether they would ever vote for Trump, nobody is voting For Harris. Those who hate him won't change their mind, so it ends up being all about turnout.

Do they hate Trump enough to come out and vote to stop him, he's easy to hate considering his stupid comments and the press will amplify every one of the dumb things he says.

They know people don't like to loose and that people are less likely to vote if it means they are picking a loser. Kind of like sports, when a team has a bad season they tend to have lower ticket sales. The media needs to keep the idea alive that the Dems will win, they couldn't do that with Biden. Would you show up to root for team Biden knowing he would get crushed or stay home and pretend you didn't have a team?

And if they have to cheat to win, it's must be at least somewhat believable too, hence the full court press.

As for Trump it doesn't matter what he says to his base, the press will find a way to slam his as an extremists nut job, same thing goes for anyone he chose as a running mate. Although there is no doubt he makes it easy for the press to attack him as a hater and that does hurt his chances with independents, who haven't made up their mind. If neither Harris or Trump can move the needle, independents might just sit it out.

I'm super curious to see how voting will go now that it's not a covid election. Locking people at home in front of the boob tube and sending them all ballots absolutely pumped up the voting base of both sides, but did it stick or was it a one off? Did one side get a bump that sticks and the other doesn't? Do voting numbers go back down to pre-covid numbers, half way down, etc.

If I had to guess, I'd guess the numbers will not be covid level numbers, but only time will tell.

<<Would you show up to root for team Biden knowing he would get crushed or stay home and pretend you didn't have a team?>> -- Not personally. But out in the Desert of Rational Thought, anything is possible - including that.

I share your curiosity, but it's more about observing how the theft and fraud will play out. You know it's going to happen—just not how, when, or where. If independent conservative poll watchers catch any skullduggery red-handed, I'd bet good money that's where the real dose-e-dough will begin...

Brad, You assume American voters have "minds."

LOL, yes that is probably not an assumption I should make is it? Be nice if they would but, I won't be holding my breath.

> Using a feather is erotic. Using the whole chicken is perverted.

I've never heard that, and I will now look for any opportunity to sprinkle that wisdom into conversations. I fear I might go "whole chicken" with my enthusiasm, though. Oh, cruel irony! :-D

Sizzle is still just sizzle, and though a full chicken’s worth of feathers may be a bit perverse, (depends on one’s personal frame of reference as to what is actually perverse,) you can still roast the remains, and have more than just a, “tickle me fancy.”

Will it be a squeaker? Possibly. Will it be a landslide? Most likely. The one thing about men like Mr. Trump, is that they genuinely can’t stand to lose and, (like the symbol of the Republicans,) they have long memories. That exact combination is not only good for business and politics, it’s also the recipe for success.

P.S. Good post. Solid ideas. Thanks for sharing.

Tulsi Gabbard is being harassed by the TSA on every flight. 7 (seven!) government agents are on every one of her flights following her every move. She isn't even running for President, but she left the Democratic Party and went against war policy.

This "election" is already over. The people in power will never voluntarily relinquish it to the Orange Man or RFK Jr. or anyone not on their team.

Harris is booed at a rally by Democrats who want the bombing of Gaza to stop.

"Stop yelling!" Harris demanded, "Do you want Trump to get elected?"

And there in a nutshell is the strategy of the Democratic Party.
