Control is the source of Power. Without control over a country, you lack the requisite power to enforce your agenda, your laws, your punishments. Without Control, you and I and the President and the Government are literally powerless.
The Government doesn’t like Tic-Toc because it can’t control it. But many of the other America based tech companies today are staffed with former Intel officials – FBI, CIA, NSA, IRS. Initially, the State Dept liked to control the narrative by controlling social media, supposedly promoting “free speech in the town square”. Then 2016 happened and Donald Trump got elected; populism was rising - and their plan backfired. Suddenly, it was “Wait! There could be Disinformation!”. Suddenly, they started censoring speech, podcasts and posts. Trump and his MAGA allies were promptly booted off social platforms across the spectrum – except Tic Toc.
Tic Toc is a Chinese company obviously not controlled by the Feds, but by the CCP. While there are legitimate concerns about China, Chinese ownership and control, the Deep State’s desire to get rid of Tic Toc has nothing to do with concern “for the children” or any citizen’s privacy; it violates our privacy every day. It has nothing to do with censorship. We are still being censored in more ways than you can count. It is about control and controlling Tic Toc which they can’t because…China.
If China is using TicToc to spy on Americans, why not go after China?
Because those efforts would be a distraction from the bigger issue right here. Catholics, pro-lifers, concerned parents or just good-old Right Wingers, have been targeted by our own government. The immediate threat to our privacy, safety, all our rights is from the Feds. Many would opt for ‘relative free speech’ with Tic Toc than cheer the Deep State getting rid of it, or worse, taking it over through some shell corporation that keeps their spooks in place, actually increasing their intrusions over even more Americans.
Assuming CCP control, what should be done about Tic Toc?
It’s not the Government’s business to ban apps. Before discussing whether it’s a “threat”, the first priority must be to address the threat of our own social media platforms being run by the bad actors of the Deep State (Missouri v Murphy). District Judge Terry Doughty’s preliminary injunction isn’t an easy read but explicitly details the extent of the Fed’s involvement.
Additionally, it’s not as if Tic Toc doesn’t censor certain content; it does; hence ‘relative free speech’. But whatever Tic Toc’s standards may be, they are not dictated by the Deep State for the benefit of some nefarious US Government agenda.
Of all our rights still under attack, Free Speech is the Deep State’s Enemy #1. There was a reason Freedom of Speech was first mentioned in the First Amendment of the Bill of Rights.
Profanely but succinctly put by late stand-up comedian, Lenny Bruce: ”If you can’t say “fuck”, you can’t say "fuck the government." While not the word everyone would use, the sentiment remains the same.

I've yet to figure out why I'm supposed to be more worried about China spying on me than I am the deep state, what exactly is China going to do with the data they collect on me, target me with temu adds? For that matter I'm not sure how any of it even "spying" considered that people choose to put the information out there.
I'm definitely more worried about a lack of free speech than I am Chinese tick-tock influencers or "spies". You would think that before they would start censoring more people that the reason why would at least make some sort of sense. What is the reason they give other than "China"? I'm honestly asking, I literally do not know what the threat is supposed to be other than "China-bad-man".
