I've yet to figure out why I'm supposed to be more worried about China spying on me than I am the deep state, what exactly is China going to do with the data they collect on me, target me with temu adds? For that matter I'm not sure how any of it even "spying" considered that people choose to put the information out there.

I'm definitely more worried about a lack of free speech than I am Chinese tick-tock influencers or "spies". You would think that before they would start censoring more people that the reason why would at least make some sort of sense. What is the reason they give other than "China"? I'm honestly asking, I literally do not know what the threat is supposed to be other than "China-bad-man".

<I literally do not know what the threat is supposed to be other than "China-bad-man".>

Well...it worked for RussiaRussiaRussia and PutinPutinPutin - might as well give "CHINA!x3" a go. By doing so, however, it supports the contention it is the axis of Power and Control. Using China helps detract from the primary issue: Govt spying on us.

Good article. The government is the enemy of the people. I wonder how long substack will remain uncensored? Maybe the government goons can't read.

A DEI qualification! I suspect the Sub hasn't gotten big enough. Yet. Even tho some heavy hitters are putting out really really good reads. And no one is posting anatomically titillating material either. Another Deep State chumming practice...

uBlock works well.

What tells you that Substack is not censored?

Firefox suppresses its "Reply" buttons when its in the mood.

I can't see where I posted any such certainty. To my knowledge and personal experience, it isn't but I am not Karnac, the crystal ball is still in the shop and Chris Wray doesn't report to me.

Firefox can do whatever they want; it's their playpen.

Vonu, my content hasn't been censored. Reply buttons are touchy, but they work if I re-enter the substack.

Are you using Ubuntu 24.04?

Vonu, Ublock is what I use. Ubuntu sounds like the communications officer on Star Trek.

It doesn't matter if any online site is staffed with former or current intelligence workers when they are all required to provide backdoors to America's 17 intelligence agencies.

While egregious, providing backdoors for optional ease-of-access might be preferred to some T-Man staring at your every keystroke.

Backdoors are totally convert and secure from monitoring.

There is nothing optional about legally mandated backdoors.

I was only referencing your "when they are all required to provide backdoors". Providing and mandating have significant differences in application. Accurate wording is a great help in accomplishing comprehendible communication.

In what way have National Security Council mandates been optional?
