Well, what a wonderful way to start the day! Once you read that you can't unread it. However, if you truly think about it, face it, we all know he is right. We won't be around to see the aftermath fortunately. It's going to be hard for my grandkids, but harder for the great grands, etc. Most of our leaders don't have the guts to see past their own greed. They never really think about the next 100 years or generations to come. Forget those EVs, windmills, and lightbulbs. That too is someone getting rich. (I am not typically referring to to Mr. Musk here.)

I'm sorry it started your day off on the left foot. I wonder about timing since, according to everybody who has had anything to say, the Grand Implosion is overdue. The Ego-Induced Bubble in which the elitists live doubles as their echo chamber. Logic and Rational aren't allowed, and neither is the reality of the future. Thanks for reading and writing!

Hi Brian, On a happier note, today a friend sent me the video link below. I had no idea that Taylor Swift's first song was about me. Wow! It has 52M views. I thought she'd forgotten all about me. I burned the letter.

One would hope you are indeed more intelligent, interactive, and perspective than the putz in the video looked like.

OK - you burned the letter. HOw much do you want for the Chevy?

Brian, I had long blonde hair back then and only wore jeans and plaid shirts.

I did have a green 1950 Chevy pickup truck. I liked that truck. I gave it to my first girlfriend, Mina Jo, up at the Yellow Farmhouse in South Dakota (1971).

She sold it to the garage/gas station owner of the place she worked. The station owner rebuilt the old Chevy and I think it's still driving around the Vermilion, South Dakota countryside.

Mr. Moose is right. Some parts of the USA are worse than others. Where I live, the soil is still very good and the farmers are using good farming techniques avoiding the poisons. Good food and beer are here at least.

The kids are gone, gone, gone... Well, I don't have any grandkids anyway. The future is their problem and that of their parents and grandparents.

I'm just living one day at a time.

My friend, Ron in Stehekin sent me your column today, Brian. I hadn't read it yet, but did after receiving Ron's high recommendation on Mr. Moose's post.

How does one live more than one day at a time?

Why would one?!

Please send Ron my appreciation for his appreciation, initiative, and endorsement.

Brian, some people live in the past, some in the future. I like living in the present day.

Ron is older than me. He taught at the one room schoolhouse in Stehekin (still does) ever since the 1970s.

If you are ever in Eastern Washington, take the ferry up Lake Chelan to Stehekin and say hello. Stehekin is a Brigadoon kinda place.

Is this Moose fellow associated with Capt. Kangaroo, or Rocket J. Squirrel? The answer provides important context…

I tried a Moose & Squirrel line on him once. Didn't go over well -- if that helps any.

Frank, Mr. Moose is Wally Moose of Wally World. Obviously he is a Disney progeny worried about the children coming to the amusement park.

Well! I'm glad that's settled!

Brian, Do you still have your Wally Moose eggnog glasses? I sent some to my friend Patrick in Los Angeles. He uses them at Christmas every year. The antlers make good handles.
